On May 7, 2026, CHOC Community Impact was proud to be featured across two television news outlets in honor of Big Day of Giving — a testament to the vital work happening every day in the Tri-County region. Juan Pulido, CHOC's Director of Resident Services, represented CHOC on Univision 19 KUVS Sacramento and KCRA 3, speaking to the heart of what Big Day of Giving means for the people CHOC serves: families working hard to stay housed, children showing up to after-school programs every afternoon, and seniors who deserve dignity and connection right where they live.
Later that evening, CHOC was honored to be part of reporter Maricela De La Cruz's segment on KCRA 3 & My58, which also spotlighted the Sacramento LGBT Community Center and Rancho Cordova Food Locker. Maricela visited CHOC's Casa Del Sol community in Woodland, CA, where Juan was joined by resident Laura Cristina González, who generously shared her experience living at Casa Del Sol. CHOC is grateful to Laura Cristina for her candor and beautiful testimonial.
CHOC extends its deep thanks to Juan Pulido for his dedication and for representing our mission so thoughtfully — twice in one day. We are also grateful to Univision 19's Juan Pimiento, KCRA's Maricela De La Cruz, and CHOC's longtime PR partners at The Hoyt Organization — Leeza Hoyt, MBA, APR, Andrew King, and Andrea Cosgrove — for their continued support in amplifying our work.
