Beyond our three principal program areas, CHOC provides housing related services to low-income community members through contracts with other community-based non-profit organizations and local governments.

 

City of Davis Programs

             CalHOME Funds:  Potential homebuyer assistance for income qualified households

 

Technical Assistance to Non-Profits
CHOC provides technical assistance to area non-profit organizations to facilitate the development of their special needs housing projects.

Yolo Community Care Continuum's Safe Harbor and supportive permanent housing project in Woodland is a collaborative undertaking that will rebuild YCCC's crisis facility and create 15 new permanent rental units.

National Handicapped Housing Institute's 21-unit multifamily complex offers barrier-free housing for mobility-impaired adults.

Sexual Assault & Domestic Violence Center's Yolo County safe house for victims of domestic violence and their families.

 

Home Ownership Program    

The Southfield Park Condominium Program, a 60 unit condominium project, is an opportunity for homeownership for low, medium, and moderate income families.   It is located near Playfields Park in South Davis.  To keep  the condominiums affordable, The City of Davis has attached deed restrictions to each unit: the sales prices is restricted to 5.5% appreciation per year, based original date of sale; owner must be the occupant and must live in the condo for a minimum of 24 months before selling; The City of Davis has the right of first refusal on all sales.  Household annual income cannot exceed 120% of the area median income.  At the time of application, households should have proof of having attended at Homebuyers Education Course and a loan pre-qualification document.  Also, include copies of the past 3 year's W-2's and Federal Income Tax Returns.   The City of Davis has CalHOME funds available for qualified households.  CHOC is the City of Davis' administrative subcontractor.
